Who is man: a progressive animal, an imperfect cybernetic system or a creation of God?
Questions for discussion:
How do recent scientific discoveries and the creation of artificial intelligence sit with the Christian worldview?
How do we answer those whose faith is shaken by recent inventions and innovations?
Is it possible for Christians to bear witness to God making use of recent scientific achievements and technical progress?
The programme will include papers about the Christian perspective on modern research into the behaviour of primates and into artificial intelligence, presentations by experts, and discussion.
Scholars, theologians, and notable figures within society will take part in the discussion, including the geneticist Galina Muravnik, who also has a Master’s degree in Theology, and PhD Candidate in the Physical and Mathematical sciences, Maxim Zelnikov.
