Back to Where we were Born: Who’s returning? How and Why?
Everyone has a birthplace, and this place occupies a special place in his heart. It’s the place where our ancestors lived, where we were born and spent our childhood. But a person often leaves his birthplace to study, pursue a career, and move on to “higher places”. There comes a time when some of us move back to our old stomping grounds. Why does this happen, and who’s doing it? These and other questions form the topic of our discussion, many participants of which have “moved home” and used their talents back in the places in which they were born.
Questions for discussion:
Are there things in the place where you were born which do not accord with your understanding of goodness and beauty?
What creative efforts are possible and necessary in the place where you were born?
What is restored within us, ourselves, when we take responsibility for the land on which we were born?
