In 2017, the Transfiguration Brotherhood was one of the organizers of the National Repentance Initiative, timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution. During the course of the year, the initiative group’s message on its website was signed by 735 people, among whom were representatives of the first Russian emigration from aristocratic and merchant class families, as well as well-known figures from the world of science and culture, the heads of volunteer projects, clergy and laity. A group of engaged people, who refuse to be disinterested, have come together. They are lively and open to independent action, and we invite them to continue going forward in common work as part of the Those who have Hope Initiative for National Repentance and Rebirth.
